Meet the campers – Marli Kasemi from Albania
As a part of our project for meeting the campes, please meet another referee that will join our camp this year – Marli Kasemi from Albania.
We keep our fingers crossed that this year he will be there from the beginning 🙂
Marli about himself
I was born in Vlore, a sea side city in the south of Albania and now I live in Tirana, the capital.
I studied Economy Finance and work as Fraud Analyst in a telecommunication company.
I started my officiating career in 2007 and now I officiate in the 1st League man and women.
Have been in different camps abroad, this is my second time in Kuba's camp and have been twice in Alan's camp, also planned to go this year.
A month ago I was in my highest level of the career because my federation has chosen me as a potential candidate for FIBA to participate in the clinic for candidates held in Sarajevo, Bosnia.
I love going in camps, because it helps a lot not only in the mentality that I use in officiating but also in my way of living the life.
Love traveling and meeting new people with different cultures.
Kuba's camp is a great opportunity for young referees to develop their skills in all part of the basketball life.
Last year I did the impossible to be in the camp and I traveled all around Europe with auto stops, trains and buses because I lost my direct flight and no other possibilities to catch the camp on time. For sure this means loving what I do and will do everything again and again to achieve my dreams.
Can’t wait to see you again
All the best from Albania
