What technologies we use at Survival Camp

Can we imagine contemporary sports without the presence of technology? At our organization, the answer is clear: absolutely not.

Technology has redefined the landscape of modern refereeing, providing unprecedented tools for real-time decision-making, post-game analysis, and continuous development. For referees, it is not only a support system during critical in-game moments but also a powerful instrument for self-assessment and skill enhancement.

At Survival Camp, each participant gains access to a suite of innovative technological solutions designed to elevate their officiating skills:

▪️ Headsets & Microphones – “MIC’D UP” Experience
Every camper referees while equipped with a headset and microphone, creating a dynamic “MIC’D UP” environment. This feature enables real-time communication between instructors and participants, facilitating immediate feedback and in-game coaching. Moreover, recorded audio is used post-game to analyze verbal interaction with players, tone of voice, and emotional regulation—essential components of professional officiating.

▪️ Smart Glasses with Integrated Cameras
Participants also wear smart glasses with embedded cameras that capture a referee’s point of view. This technology allows for detailed breakdowns of court positioning, movement mechanics, and focus of attention within their primary coverage area. By analyzing footage, we gain a close approximation of what the referee sees, allowing for highly targeted feedback and corrective strategies.

A New Standard in Referee Education

These technologies are more than just gadgets — they are enablers of transformation. They form an integral part of our approach to referee development, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical excellence.

By integrating live communication tools and immersive video analysis into our methodology, we’re not only improving performance — we’re cultivating a new generation of referees who are agile, self-aware, and prepared for the evolving demands of modern sport.

Technology is no longer the future of officiating. It is the standard.
