Session 2, Day 5 – 2025
As the final day rolled around after a long and fulfilling week, we were given the option to take a Yo-Yo test to check our fitness levels. It was voluntary, and a few of us took the chance to push ourselves one last time.
After breakfast, we gathered for a lecture on AOS and PTS, led by Tomasz. We went through different clips together, breaking them down using both what we already knew and the new ideas we picked up from the session.
Then came our last mental training session with Toby. It was a recap of everything we’d covered during the week—focus resets, confidence and positive self-talk, and keeping a growth mindset. It really tied together all the pieces of the mental side of officiating.
Our final speed workout of the camp was up next. It was a bit more relaxed compared to the previous days, focusing on a full-body routine for one last time. Afterwards we had our last final lunch together.
Since some participants had already left by then, the upper-body “pump” session and game officiating were done with a smaller group. We wished safe travels to those who were heading out early, while the rest of us shared a few laughs and enjoyed the last moments together.
Looking back, this week has been an invaluable experience – gaining new knowledge about the rules and the mechanics, strengthening our mental approach, improving our fitness, and getting direct feedback from the instructors. Most of all, we leave with stronger motivation and confidence to bring everything we’ve learned into our officiating. Thank you to our instructors for giving us such an experience!
