Session 2, day 2

The second day of the camp began with an hour-long speed workout in the gym. Fitness coach Wojtek helped us develop our acceleration and sprint skills, essential for keeping up with the fast break and maintaining good angles on the players.

After a productive gym session, we enjoyed breakfast and some rest before diving into the next activity: clip analysis from the previous day’s games. Each camper selected a few interesting situations for discussion.

One of the most important sessions was led by instructors Marcin Kowalski and Jakub Zamojski: a workshop on pre-game preparation. They shared their experiences and emphasized key aspects such as scouting, referees cooperation, game management, and foul criteria. Effective pre-game preparation is crucial for being ready for any situation, and we all committed to making it a regular habit.

Following lunch and a pre-game meeting, we returned to the gym. The fitness routine focused on strengthening our arms and abdomen.

To enhance communication within the refereeing crew, we used microphones during today’s games. This proved to be a valuable tool for improving teamwork on the court.

The day concluded with a feedback session where we shared our observations. This reflective practice is essential for continuous improvement as referees. We are determined to carry this forward.
