Marcin Lewandowski, Camper from Poland: from the court to the whistle
At just 20 years old, Marcin Lewandowski from Poznań, Poland, is stepping into a pivotal stage of life — and career. Fresh off completing technical school and his final exams, Marcin is enjoying what he calls “the longest holiday of my life” before embarking on a new academic path in Management Engineering this October.
But while school is on pause, basketball isn’t.
This summer, Marcin is preparing for his fourth season as a referee, continuing a journey that began while he was still playing the game himself. What started as a way to stay involved on court quickly evolved into a true passion for officiating — one that now shapes his personal and professional ambitions.
Marcin is coming into Survival Camp 2025 with a clear mission: “To work on the weaker areas of my officiating.”
It’s a mindset that speaks to maturity beyond his years — and aligns perfectly with the camp’s high-performance environment. He is committed to sharpening his skill set through training, feedback, and immersion among fellow referees from across Europe.
Outside of refereeing, Marcin has a deep appreciation for sports in all forms, and a particular love for long mountain expeditions — an ideal metaphor for his approach to officiating: step-by-step, persistent, and always aiming higher.
Marcin, welcome to Survival Camp — may this be the next summit in your officiating journey.
