Luke Rockett Joins Survival Camp: Rising English Referee Looks to Level Up

We are pleased to welcome Luke Rockett from Sheffield, England to this year’s edition of Survival Camp.

Luke has already made significant strides in his officiating career. Having achieved Level 3 certification from Basketball England, he currently officiates in the National League D2 and Women’s D1. His growing reputation was recently affirmed when he was honoured as Yorkshire Referee of the Year — a recognition of both his performance and his leadership within the refereeing community.

Luke brings an impressive resume of experiences to the camp. He recently crew chiefed the U15 Scotland vs. Ireland game at the Home Nations Tournament, and has also officiated high-profile 3×3 events including the EABL Finals and Ball Out UK, having completed the FIBA 3×3 Level 1 course.

With a strong commitment to development, Luke attended both the Scania Camp in Sweden and the Polly Camp in England, describing these experiences as eye-opening and inspiring — especially witnessing the high standard of officiating across Europe.

Luke’s short-term goal is to move up to Division 1 Men’s games in the UK. Long-term, he has his sights set on reaching the professional ranks. His passion for the sport is evident not only in his dedication to his own progress but also in his ability to inspire and energise those around him, setting a standard of excellence for his peers.

We’re excited to have Luke on board at Survival Camp and look forward to seeing how he continues to grow throughout the experience.
