Session 1, day 2 – 2025

Just like yesterday, we started the day at 7:15 a.m. with a morning warm-up, along with drills related to 3PO and tip-off toss. During breakfast, some of us stuffed ourselves with plastic sausage wrappers.

After breakfast, our appetites weren’t satisfied (perhaps because of the plastic wrap restriction), so we started talking with Karol about “sandwiches and hot dogs”, in other words about refereeing defense and processing the play. When we were tired of talking about food, it was time to talk about how we look after eating. But not only after eating.

Damir Javor told us a bit about our posture during the match, communication, and body language.Routine during our camp is very important, and habits make us better, so it was time for our everyday meeting with Toby MOK about the psychology of refereeing and our approach.

Some of us had already implemented his advice and applied it during the afternoon match session. Before lunch, Coach Marcin had thoroughly exhausted us. He practiced with us changing directions while running, and Marcin, the instructor, emerged €5 richer after winning the throwing competition.

After lunch, it was time for another round of exercises from Coach Marcin, followed by the aforementioned match session. During the matches, we had the opportunity to officiate matches involving players from the Ekstraklasa, the First League, and even the Polish national team.

Our entire work was supported by a camera system mounted in goggles, which allowed us to see the same situations from different perspectives. Our instructors, Kuba, Marcin, and Karol, provided us with feedback and invited us to a lecture session summarizing the day.

Tired from a long day of work, we were happy to hear from Kuba that yoga and a sauna were waiting for us tomorrow.Everyone has a feeling the next day will be just as exciting. We hope you’re also eagerly awaiting our next reports. Stay tuned!
