Mohamed Saied: Egyptian Experience Meets Global Aspiration
“Leadership, teamwork, and continuous learning are not just values — they are a way of life.” These words from Mohamed Saied, a seasoned basketball referee from Egypt, perfectly summarize the journey that has shaped his career for nearly 15 years.
Mohamed was just 15 years old when his coach nominated him for a refereeing course at the Cairo Basketball Zone. Since then, his passion and dedication have seen him rise to hold Egypt’s highest national refereeing license, with the FIBA badge as his next milestone.
His impressive resume includes officiating top-level national games, African club competitions, Arab leagues, and even the FIBA U19 World Cup 2017. Internationally, he’s no stranger to the Polish courts, having officiated in Krakow and twice joined the Rose Cup through Referee.pl. Most recently, he made a mark at Scania Camp 2025, taking charge in U19 and U16 playoff games.

Despite facing a tough setback last year due to serious back surgery, Mohamed is now fully recovered and focused. His comeback is marked by dedication, renewed fitness, and a sharp mindset. This summer, Survival Camp is part of his preparation for a strong return to the top.
Beyond the court, Mohamed is a Business Developer and Partnership Manager, as well as a committed lifelong learner with advanced academic credentials, including a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and legal studies.
Refereeing is more than a role — it’s Mohamed’s way of life. A pursuit of fairness, growth, and excellence.
Welcome back, Mohamed — we’re proud to have you at Survival Camp 2025.
