Session 1, day 3 – 2025

We started the day in the gym at 07:15 AM. We had the opportunity to learn from Euroleague referees Kuba and Marcin, and FIBA referee Karol. They taught us the mechanics to correctly and efficiently move on fastbreaks while we had the possibility to practice them ourselves. 

After this session, we hit the cafeteria for a nice and healthy breakfast. No time to waste as Marcin was ready to give another session at 09:15 AM to teach us all about Game Management. It was an eye-opening experience to see how many interpretations Game Management really has. Thanks Marcin for this experience!

At 10:30 AM it was time to get to work ourselves and watch our games from yesterday. Thanks to the high-tech glasses we get to use at the Survival Camp, we can see where we were looking and analyse the plays even more precisely. 

At 12:00 PM we did our daily video-call with Toby Mok to learn about the psychology behind the game. We learned how to refocus during games and how to do a body check. After our call with Toby, we had our second workout of the day with our personal coach Marcin (Yes, another Marcin 😉 ). This was focused on stretching, core and cardio. 

At 14:30 PM we had lunch, where I learned that Schnitzel is called ‘Kotlet’ in Polish. 🙂

After lunch it was time for our pregame to prepare for the games of today. We all wrote one point where the whole group could work on today. 

We officiated from 17:00 PM – 18:00 PM to work on the things we wrote up during the pregame. After the games, we immediately went into our third workout of the day. Fitness. Again, with our personal trainer Marcin, we started doing our fitness for the day. ‘Strongman’ was the subject today, which means we worked on our conditioning.

To end the day we ate a very tasty dinner and had a yoga session. This was way more exhausting and sweaty than I thought it would be. We went to the sauna at 22:00 PM to relax our muscles. On to day 4!
