Session 2, Day 3 – 2025
Day 3 started as it did yesterday with practicing running transition and working on our signaling.
This was followed by a good breakfast and straight into a group session where we shared, analyzed and discussed situations that happend yesterday. These were presented as view from both the main camera in the stands and the wearable camera we use during games. This helps with having different angles of the action to discuss about.
The two lectures of the day consisted of a video lecture by FIBA referee Karol Kowalski and NBA referee John Conley. They talked about the importance on reading the defence and processing the play, and gave good examples to go along. The second lecture was of course given by our mental coach Toby where we talked about mental resets after making a mistake.
For the physical part of the day, it was a tough one. Our physical trainer had created an intense “Superman” workout where he pushed us to use every muscle in our body. As for the officiating, the players had a rest day, so there were a reduced number of games. Still nice to be able to put theory into practice.
The day was closed out by having a yoga session with an instructor, sauna to sweat out and finally creating clips for the following day.
