The experienced Portuguese referee dedicated 38 years to refereeing and basketball, witnessing countless achievements and iconic moments on the basketball court. This year’s EuroLeague final game between Real Madrid and Panathinaikos Athens marked a remarkable finale for his illustrious career. It was his fifth Euroleague Final Four after refereeing previous games in 2009 (Semi final), 2014, 2017, and 2019.

Fernando Rocha’s career:

• Started officiating – in 1986
• Liga Portuguesa – since 1992
• FIBA – since 1995
• Euroleague – since 2000

Now Fernando Rocha started to work in the Referee Department of Euroleague in the position of Educational and Training Coordinator.

His valuable advice and guidance will undoubtedly elevate refereeing skills for campers and propel towards their own basketball officiating dreams. We look forward to Fernando’s lectures at Survival Camp 2024.
